At Cheddar & District Funeral Directors, we offer bespoke funeral services that are tailored to your individual wishes. Most of our funeral services are bespoke due to personal preferences. The fees for tailored funerals will depend on what services you decide upon and will be calculated on the options you select at the time of meeting our funeral arranger.
Our range of affordable fixed cost funerals include:
No attendance – £995
Without limousine – £2857
With 1x limousine – £2957
After meeting with our funeral arranger, we will work out the cost and will inform you of the estimate of fees. When we give you this estimation, you can add or remove services from the arrangements as you see necessary.
The fee estimate will be split into two sections which cover disbursements and charges. Disbursements are payments we make on your behalf to third parties such as the doctor, minister, florist, newspaper and crematorium. If you would like to make adjustments to your choices, please let us know as soon as possible. If you make amendments, we will issue a new fee estimation for you.
After the funeral has taken place, our funeral directors will send you the final invoice. You can then decide how you would like to make this final payment.
If a solicitor is handling the final account, please advise us at the earliest opportunity.
If you are paying the account yourself, this can be done via bank transfer, cheque or cash. You may qualify for financial assistance through government schemes, and to find out more please contact the Department for Work and Pensions.
If you are handling the deceased estate, you will need to submit the invoice to the deceased bank or building society. The payment will be debited directly from their account.
